FOUND!

I found so many blogs that I used to read... many are gone now (sad!) but about a half dozen are still going strong. I have added them to my blog roll and am so looking forward to reading them again!

The mommy blog that I was looking for I found! it was damomma.com this was probably the last blog I was hooked on before a ran away from bloggerland! Can't believe it's been 4 years... time flies. I was reading some of my old blogs... it's like re-living the past! Excited to post photos again soon!

Lost and Intuition

Let's begin with lost. I lost a blog I used to read. It was a mommy blog... I know I know, it was the only one I read I swear! Anyhow... this lady had 2 girls and she lived in the states... She had a "no mini van vow" ticker on her blog and... that is all I can remember. That and her 2 girls called her momma... nothing new I know. But I think it was a big one, one with adverts and such. If anyone can point me in that direction... big thanks!

Intuition - There is this woman who has been gaining ever popularity in our society as a self-help, women inspired, guru type. I don't know her personally, we took an 8 week course together and there was just something about her that I didn't like. A feeling... it's weird as I get older I get more intuition moments... sometimes my hand will buzz when I touch someone too or when I'm around a person like this suddenly things are really quiet or theirs a buzz in the air. I don't try to understand it... I'm just starting to try and listen to it... so that lady, I am staying well away from!

Day 3

I think I vastly underestimated the stress of building a house... Not physically of course because I hired people for that, but mentally. So... what EVERYTHING to you want to surround yourself with for the next twenty years. We need to know NOW, and you can change it later, but it will cost you $10000... Sure... right... I'm there.

Behaving Badly

I recently attended a wedding. I took a lot of photos. My questions to you is regarding facebook etiquette. I'm big on this stuff... there is a proper way to do just about everything. Not that I do things that way but I like to know what it is regardless. So my thoughts are. No one attending the wedding should post photos of the wedding (specifically the bride and groom) before they do, or at least someone in the wedding party does. This goes for babies as well, no posting new baby photos before the mom does! You know some people just can't wait to get home and upload those first look photos of babies/weddings/etc. Need attention much?

They are so comfy it's like I'm wearing my slippers all day. I also go new gym shoes and a gym bag. Then I had the worst fat weekend EVER and now I don't want to go to the gym.. Ironic.

I also decided that I hate my template again so I'm going to go change it now.

disgustingly bad martini

One 8" garlic finger with bacon bits, pop, bahama mama, one disgustingly bad chocolate martini, some pizza, and 4 smirnoff black cherry coolers (which by the way are my new favorite), 5 games of pool, 3 hand of cards, 2 rounds of wii tennis and... here I am. It was a good night and now I am almost ready for bed. I hope everybody is having a good Saturday Night. Gotta go watch america's next top model.

Flip my flan

Had Vix and Al over for chinease. Mmmmm Chinease... I may have to get some leftovers soon. They also brought us some flan and mini cheesecakes... The cheesecake was amazine, I haven't had any of the flan...yet.

We played a bit of wii, dave is now watching this Chris Angel show. He keeps trying to explain how they rig the tricks. I dunno... it doesn't really interest me. The controversy of it all, is it real? is it a fake? and all of their arguments exhaust me. The levitation is kinda cool though.

Food

I made Linda's Lasagna from allrecipes.com and it was super good. I took a photo and submitted it, so they may use it on their website.


I wonder why coffee tasted so much better after it's been in the pot for 3 hours.

Little to do

Somebody help me Dave's cleaning. We're not talking dirt cleaning, but the most feared JUNK cleaning. We are planning a big yard sale, probably a few of them really in my parents garage. They live on the main yardsale drag in our town so this is a very good plan for purging unwanted crap.

Rob, Dave's brother, is moving here from england in a few weeks. Dave is in his soon to ge room now hiding all sorts of nasty fake bugs. Nothing says welcome to Canada like a giant cockroach climbing the wall.

I'm not really into writing on my blog right now because I am not thrilled with the template yet. That's why I didn't post for a long time, because I was really frustrated with how it looked and my unability to fix it.

Christmas and NewYears

So for anyone stopping by I just though I'd leave you a note that Christmas and New Years went really well here for us. I got a new camera/video for Christmas and it's great. I've been trying to upload video to buzznet to post on here, but I have been having no luck. :( I'll keep trying..

Wrapping

The wrapping of my Christmas presents usually gets left until Christmas Eve. So any present you get from me, you can assume has been wrapped for about 12 hours. This year I have a few items wrapped up, but I hate to wrap before I've purchased everything, cause I usually make last minute switches. When using the sticky name tags, last minute switches also means re-wrapping.

We had a birthday dinner here for my dad tonight. That went well, I made yummy yummy food! It started with fresh rolls (pillsbury kind), bacon wrapped scallops and a shrimp ring with our favorite sauce. We also had wine, apple cider and coffee. Then it was top sirloin rounds with potates and asparagus.

the bad sad

So I have been away with my familly as my grandfather passed away on Thurs Oct 6. It is very sad and today was the funeral. It was kind of unexpected but expected at the same time. I am planning on drowning myself in work until... oh about Christmas. My grandmother is now alone... And that is sad too. They were married for 57 years.

Death makes me think, reassess and re-evaluate my goals in life. I hate being sad and always try to speed the process up and get past it, only to have the sadness come stomping back in when it is least welcome. So in short I am glad it is over, the funeral and memorial, but I know the bad sad.. The sad that leaves you passed out on the floor from tears, that sad has not come yet... I'm expecting it mid march 2007 or something like that.

Maybe it won't come at all.. Maybe because I was able to be with him and hold his hand during his last 3 hours, and even though he was not very conscious I was able to say what I needed to and cry when I needed to and he was able to squeeze my hand. Maybe that will make it easier, here's hoping...

I got the title of my post from a forward that asked you 3 questions and each answer gives a piece of a sentence. The you put the sentences to gether. You get the idea

I've decided to try yoga. Actually I did try a bit of yoga, I hurt myself. So I'm thinking about taking a class. My boyfriend says he'll try it with me this winter. He thinks it will be hilarious cause people are supposed to fart.

We're going to coffee at Sarah and Chris's sunday. I may go to C'town tomorrow and get new carpet for our entryway. I've been re-decorating the kitchen for a few weeks. I didn't paint, but I moved our fishtank. The curio cabinet and kitchen table also got shuffled.

I got a nail jazz kit for my birthday. It is nail polish pens/markers so you can draw mini photos on your nails.
